2010 Professional Development Grant

The purpose of the LCLA Professional Development Grant is to encourage new librarians who reside or work in Lancaster County and to encourage membership in the Association.

A maximum grant of $150.00 will be awarded in the spring for professional development activities during the calendar year 2010. Application and grant procedures are found in the documents attached below.

Spring Meeting! Join us on April 22

Join us to visit and learn about a creative partnership to provide library services in Gap - a library designed to be an integral part of a café! Could this venture be a model for other libraries seeking to expand services in the face of budget realities? Come find out more!

5:30 – 6:00 p.m.: Margie Perella, Director of the Pequea Valley Library, will give a brief tour of their new (12/07) building in Intercourse. For directions & photos, see http://www.pvpl.org

Then we will caravan a short distance on Rt. 772 to Gap to the new Salisbury Township Branch Library.

6:30 p.m.: Dinner at the library/café & learn about both the PV Library building project and the unique collaboration at the Family Center in Gap. See http://www.gapfamilycenter.org/directions.php
