Fall Meeting- Good Food, Good Discussion, Good Times!

Sixteen people were in attendance for LCLA's Fall Meeting at the Black Gryphon on November 1st. We had a great discussion on common reading programs featuring three speakers:

Mary Ann Heltshe-Steinhauer from the Library System of Lancaster County discussed her involvement with the “One Book, OneCommunity” program that involves 8 counties in the Susquehanna Valley.

Marjorie Warmkessel from  Millersville University spoke about their “OneBook, One Campus” program that is a part of the New Student Orientation every year.

Beth Young discussed her experiences with the “Open Book” program at Elizabethtown College and the related events and film series that took place.

The theme that resonated between all of the speakers seemed to be collaboration. Work with your community. We can't do it all alone, nor would we want to!

***LCLA will need a new secretary in 2013, if you are interested please contact Beth Young.
And, let us know if you have any ideas for the Spring meeting!
