LCLA Spring Meeting: Professional Change: Transitioning from a Rural to an Urban Library Environment

Everyone these days deals with many changes, but how do we adapt professionally?
Join fellow librarians for an interesting evening on
Tuesday May 4, 2010
at Lancaster Public Library
125 N. Duke Street

Our speaker for the evening is Herb Landau. Herb has recently taken the post of Executive Director of the Lancaster Public Library along with its Leola and Mountville Branches. Previously, he was Director of the Milanof-Schock Library in Mount Joy. Under his leadership Milanof-Schock won numerous awards including being named the Best Small Library in America in 2006 by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Library Journal.
Join us for an interesting evening about adapting to new professional environments
and the latest news about the downtown library!

The meeting time will include a brief business meeting. On the agenda is a vote for changes in the Lancaster County Library Association By-Laws.

The evening will conclude with dinner at the Marion Court Room, 7 East Marion Street (just a block away). Dinners will be ordered & paid individually, so no pre-payment is required.

However, please RSVP by Friday April 30 to let us know you are coming.
